Suggested Materials:
Acrylic Craft Paint

Small, detail brushes
Embossing Powder
Gold
Black
Mechanical Pencil
Calligraphy Pen
Embossing Pen
Heat Gun or heat source
Cardstock
Delta Monogram Stencil
Desired Rubber Stamp Image
1. Decide what your layout will be and what paper stock you will use.
2. Using the Delta Monogram Stencil, outline the monogram using a light pencil line.
3. Take an embossing pen and go over the outline of the letter only.
4. Emboss with gold embossing powder.
5. Take your image and emboss in black.
6. Using acrylic craft paint, paint your image and your monogram.
7. Once the image dry, you may go back and add highlights with gold metallic paint.
8. Using a calligraphy pen or brush, complete your message.
Remember that the more popular colors used for illuminations were royal purple,
cobalt blue, hunter green, crimson, bright yellow, white, and black.
These colors were mixed and blended to create a whole range of colors.
Gold was used to accent and bring out the illuminated letters and pictures in the manuscripts.
The stamp image used in this project was #90026 Sweet Pea Flower Fairies from Stamps Happen, Inc. in Fullerton, California.
