Transfer Ink

Materials Needed:

2 TBS soap powder, (Ivory Snow) not detergent or scrapings for bar of soap

1/4 cup hot water

1 TBS turpentine

 

Instructions:

1) Dissolve soap powder in hot water.

2) Add turpentine.

3) When cool, pour into a screw-tow bottle.

Makes about 3/4 cup.

To use, dip a watercolor brush into the ink and brush ink over the picture to be trnasferred.

Wait about 10 seconds. Place a piece of paper over the picture and rub the back of it with a spoon.

Store indefinitely without refrigeration.

If ink becomes solid, set bottle in pan of warm water until ink becoems liquid and shake well before using
