Simple Egg Tempera Emulsion

Materials Needed:

2 measures of egg yolk

1 measure of water

Assorted powdered pigments or poster color

Palette pan

Instructions:

1) Break up yolks in a measuring cup. Measure egg yolk to determine amount of water needed.

2) Mix egg yolks and water thoroughly.

3) In palette pan, combine small amount of egg mixture with powdered pigment. Wor with a clean bursh.

Makes 1/4 cup. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Will keep for several days.
